Surgical procedure

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia depending upon the patient’s choice.It will take 1-2 hours for surgery. Liposuction

Liposuction technique can be used when fatty tissues are involved. In this technique you have a small incision is made around the areola and through the incision cannula that is thin hollow tube is to be inserted. The fat is then sucked out through vacuum suction. Next, your surgeon will drain out additional blood and fluid through small drainage tubes

Excision

Excision technique is used when glandular tissues or the skin has to be removed. An incision is made around the areola and the underlying glandular tissue is removed. This method not only flattens the breast, but also reduces the size of the areola and repositions the nipple. Some cases of gynecomastia require the use of both, liposuction and excision.

Post-operative Care

After the surgery the doctor will apply the bandages or dressing on the incisions and as per the suggested by doctor needs to wear the compression garments which will help to reduce the swelling and brushing. On the third day you need to come for dressing and after 14 days for stitch removal. The propel results will start coming as the swelling start decreasing. You can resume work in a week, but will have to refrain from strenuous exercises or lifting heavy weights for one month, and exposing the scar tissue to the sun for a minimum of 6 months.
