Exploratory surgery is performed on Marge in an attempt to confirm the diagnosis and possibly treat a new tender lump in her thigh. Ultrasound suggested the presence of a fluid collection which could be a hematoma, seroma, or less likely and abscess. No fluid collection was found on exploration, but there was a lipoma deep in the incision which would explalin the patient’s symptoms. A hematoma or seroma would eventually be resorbed and not require drainage. An abscess is unlikely based on the lack of severe tenderness, fever, or likely source for an infecting organism. Marge provides colorful description of her career in animal husbandry. New videos are posted on Friday afternoons. This video is not intended to diagnose or treat any condition.
