Abdominal surgery acts on 3 elements: stretched and distended skin, a loose abdominal wall and fatty deposits located in the belly. How is cosmetic surgery for abdominoplasty associated with liposuction? The abdominoplasty being an intervention used to lift the belly. It consists of removing excess skin, removing fat and tightening the muscles of the abdomen. The goal is to have a flat and firm stomach for a well-defined silhouette. First, an incision is made at the level of the umbilicus and the pubic line. The skin between the umbilicus and the suprapubic line is then removed (dermalipectomy).
